Mrs. Hranchak was born in Stourbridge, England, and completed her undergraduate degree in Psychology at the University of Leicester. She moved to Colorado in 2015 and completed her Masters in Counseling Psychology at the University of Denver. She enjoys hiking, ice skating, eating out, cross-stitching and visiting her family in England twice a year.

Dr. Sumerlin is in his 30th year serving in education. He has worked in Indiana, Missouri, Texas, and is now in his 15th year in Douglas County. Tim loves to work in the school setting and comes every day, grateful to work with a fantastic staff and student body. He is also the director of In Motion Counseling, a church-based counseling consulting ministry. He is married to Jackie and they have two children, both of whom live in China.

Mrs. Williams began her counseling career in Chicago, IL in 2010 after completing a degree in Psychology from the University of Iowa and a Master’s degree in Counseling from Northeastern Illinois University. She moved to Colorado with her husband in 2013 and joined the Castle View High School counseling team in 2016. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and two young children.

Mrs. Tormoen began her counseling career in Prior Lake, Minnesota, after completing an undergraduate degree at The University of Wisconsin – Madison and a Master’s in Counseling at The University of Minnesota. She and her husband moved to Colorado in 2015 and she has been at Castle View High School ever since. In her free time, she enjoys traveling with her husband, playing with her dog, hiking, and spending time outdoors.

Tara Nordstrom is a school counselor who joined Castle View in 2019. She brings experience in elementary, middle and high school counseling supporting students’ academic, career, and social/emotional well-being. Tara earned her Bachelor of Liberal Arts degree from Colorado State University in Fort Collins Colorado, and a Master of Science in School Counseling from University of Phoenix. She holds certificates/specialists for anxiety and stress management, bullying prevention, and college admissions. She is a Colorado native, and loves all that Colorado offers while spending time with her husband, and three children.

Mrs. Rippy is a true Colorado native and began her school counseling career on the Western Slope of Colorado near Glenwood Springs in 2011. She moved to Castle Rock four years ago with her husband. They love to travel and go on adventures like hiking, camping, and playing in rivers/lakes with their two young children. Mrs. Rippy also enjoys reading, playing board games/card games, and crafting!

Mrs. Hoogeboom has been at CV since 2013. She started as the receptionist/health assistant, then became one of the attendance secretaries. She is now the Registrar at CV. She was born and raised in Colorado Springs. She had the pleasure of living in Southern California for many years where she worked as an Attendance/Registrar at an elementary school before moving back home to Colorado with her husband and two daughters. She enjoys family gatherings, walking her fur grand-puppy, cooking, sewing and crocheting.

Mrs. Lansdown is originally from Salt Lake City but has called Colorado home for over twenty years. She loves animals of all kinds, reading–especially about history and social science–jigsaw-puzzling, crocheting, cheering for the Avalanche, and spending time with her family. Her favorite movie is Darby O’Gill and the Little People, her favorite color is purple, and her wish is for everyone to just be nice, for cryin’ out loud.

Mrs. Bay is a longtime Colorado resident, and this is her Third year at Castle View. She is a voracious reader who loves listening to podcasts, watching movies with her husband, and taking pictures of her dog, Phoebe.
